From fighting limitations to working with them.
I spent most of my life fighting against my limitations. Chronic
conditions, hypermobility, the slow erosion of an overdrawn
nervous system, profound loss — they made me angry, confused,
and convinced "just one more thing" would fix it.
Reframing the word "limited" to "unlimited with exceptions" made
a huge difference. I began to see opportunities where there hadn't
been previously, and started living in the moment instead of
drowning in fear.
I came to this work through Duke's certification program, then
passed the National Board exam — the highest credential in the
field. Today I coach from a place I had to build myself: a slower
life off-grid in Montana, a regulated nervous system, and a
practice grounded in the science of behavior change.
